How to create a RAR file

A RAR file stores several files within one through a process known as "compress". This will make the files easier to organize and transport, since it will be smaller and in one place. You can also create a RAR file by taking another file format such as ZIP and converting it to RAR. This can be useful to decompress if you can unzip RAR files, but not the ZIP file type.

Download and install WinRAR (www.winrar.com). Click on the file or files that you want to compress to create a RAR file . Select "Add to file" from the options there. Select "RAR" for the file type and click "OK" to create the RAR file. WinRAR is free to use, although it will have a warning screen if you do not buy the full version after the trial period.

Go to "ConvertFiles". Click "Browse" to load the file you want to use to make a RAR . Select "RAR" in "Output Format" and click "Convert" to create the link that you can use to download the new RAR. ConvertFiles is a free conversion website that also converts audio and video formats .

Download and install Squeez. Open the program and select the files you want to use to create the file in the folder at the top right. Click on "Compress this file" of the options in the box on the left. Select RAR in the format you want and click "OK" to create the RAR.
