How to make a feather and cork boom buoy
To make a feather and cork cannon buoy before you have to make the feather-boom buoy. These buoys are used in fresh water. You will need to:- Feather barrel buoy and thin scissors

- Sandpaper

- Wire ring
- Waterproof paint

First with a thin scissors or needle to make stockings, make a hole through the center of a cork. Do not make the hole too big. The cork is for the body of the buoy.

Then with a knife cut the cork until it has approximately the shape shown in the drawing (a). Then soften the rough edges with a fine sandpaper (b).

Then clean, cut, sand and stick a cannon like the pennon buoy. Put the cannon through the hole in the cork. Stick the holes. Wind a wire ring at the indicated end.

To finish paint the thick side and half of the cork of a strong color. The rest paint it a very dark color. Let it dry and then pass a rubber ring through the buoy.
