How to see everything you have downloaded? How to change the default location in which the files are downloaded? In .com we tell you how to manage downloads in Google Chrome.

How to see your downloads

The place from which to manage all downloads in Chrome is the chrome: // downloads / page . There you will see a list with all the files that you have downloaded or are downloading, sorted by date.

How to pause or cancel a download

On the "Downloads" page ( chrome: // downloads / ), under each download in progress it says "Pause" and "Cancel". If you want to stop a download, but continue later, click "Pause" (the button will be changed to "Resume" for when you want it to continue). If you want to cancel it, in "Cancel".

How to find a file downloaded on the computer

You just downloaded a file, but you have no idea where it was saved. To find it, on the " Downloads " page (chrome: // downloads /), click under that file where it says "Show in folder" ("Show in Finder" if you are on Mac). A window will open with the folder in which the file is saved.

Change the location of the Downloads

If you want all the files to be downloaded to a folder by default, you can change the location of the downloads. To do this, go to the " Chrome Settings " (chrome: // settings /), and there, click on "Show advanced options". Scroll to "Downloads" and click on the "Change" button to choose the new folder.

Remove items from the download history

If you want some of the files you downloaded to not appear in the history, go to chrome: // downloads / and click below the item you want to delete from the list, where it says "Remove from list" . The file will remain on the computer, but will not appear in the history.

Delete all download history

If you want to completely delete the download list, click on the Chrome menu (the button with three horizontal lines to the right of the address bar) and select Tools> Clear browsing data.
