How to add Google Voice to a mobile

Google Voice is a service that allows you to divert phone calls and SMS text messages to any phone you want. When someone makes a phone call or sends a text message to your Google Voice phone number, all phones linked to your Google Voice account ring receive the call or text messages. Add a mobile phone to your Google Voice account in just a few steps.

Steps to follow:

one

Visit the Google Voice website and register your Google account information.

two

Open the Google voice settings page, by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen, and select "Voice settings."

3

Click on the link "Add another phone"

4

Enter a name for your phone, for example, "personal cell phone", and enter your mobile phone number in the "number" field. Make sure that "mobile" is selected in the "Phone type" drop-down box. If you wish, also check the box next to " Receive text messages on this phone ". Click on the "Save" button.

5

Click "Call" to have Google Voice make a call to the phone you want to add. When prompted, enter the verification code that appears on this page. This helps Google to determine if it is really that phone is yours or not.

6

When you enter the verification code, the mobile phone is automatically added to your Google Voice account.
