How to install a theme in Windows 8

We all like that our computer is as much as possible, for which personalization is key. We download the programs we want, reorganize the desktop, put a background photo ... but when we want to change the subject we find that Windows 8 only lets us add own themes that are already on the computer and not install a new one. Fortunately, skipping this restriction is easy. In .com we tell you how to install a theme in Windows 8.

Steps to follow:

one

For Windows 8 to let you install new themes you must download a program that will modify only the part of permissions. It's about UxStyle. Go to uxstyle.com to download it.

two

On the Uxstyle website you will find two buttons, one to install in Windows 7 and another for Windows 8, still in the experimental phase. Click on the latter (it's the button on the right), accept the download.

3

Open the file that you just downloaded. This is the Uxstyle installer, which will guide you step by step in your installation. Follow his instructions.

4

With Uxstyle installed, you can now add new themes. Just copy them to the folder C: WindowsResourcesThemes (a theme is composed of a .theme file and a folder with extra information).

5

To apply one of these new themes that you just installed, just double click on the .theme file.
