How to install fonts on Mac

Computers usually bring by default and many different fonts and fonts installed in the system, but many times we have a good time seeing them and none of them convinces us. Possibly you end up wandering the Internet looking for different websites of sources until you find the one you wanted. But how to install that source on your computer? Do not worry, in .com we tell you how to install fonts on Mac.

Steps to follow:

First of all, you need to download the source . You can find many free high resolution on sites like Dafont.

Unzip the zip file that you just downloaded. You can see here how to unzip zip files on mac.

Double click on the folder that was just created with the name of the source. Inside you will see one or more ttf files (the bold ones are a separate ttf, for example).

If your version of Mac is OS X 10.3 or higher, to install the source you only have to double click on the ttf file and, in the window that opens, click on "Install typeface".

If you have an older version of Mac or you're not sure, you can do the installation manually: copy the ttf file to Library> Fonts

Open TextEdit, for example, to verify that the source has been installed. If you look in the fonts, the new typography will be there.
