How to make a robot project at school

If you are teaching the letter "R" or the importance of recycling with students in your kindergarten, making robots is an art that students can enjoy at school. Using cans and old pieces of metal hardware, make it an economical and environmentally friendly activity. If you notify parents well in advance they will probably be able to help you gather most of the necessary supplies.

You will need to:
  • Cans
  • Insulating tape
  • Various pieces of hardware
Steps to follow:

Wash an empty can and peel off the label.

Cover the sharp edge of the can with insulating tape, so that it is safe for handling.

Use pieces of electrical tape to attach screws, keys, bottle caps and other objects in the can to create the facial features of the robot.

You can paint the robot with wax paint to give it some color.

For robot shoes you can use milk or juice bricks.

To finish making the robot in the classroom you just have to put a little imagination, surely your students are delighted with the activity.
