How to make a data CD

If you have a blank space on the recordable compact disc, commonly called a CD-R, there is a variety of things you can do with it to make a CD. You can record a custom audio compilation or maybe a custom data disc . Data disks can be used on computers and some compatible devices, and are useful for backing up files or transferring large files. Audio discs are designed to be played on separate CD players and are useful if you want to compile audio.

Steps to follow:

Insert a blank CD-R into the computer.

Click " Burn files to disk " using "Windows Explorer" in the dialog box that appears.

Click on "With a CD / DVD" and then click on "Next". A window representing the CD-R drive will open.

Click and drag the files from your computer into this blank window to create a data CD.

Click on "Burn Disc" when you are happy with the compilation of files that you have inserted into your CD.
