When is the child's day

The day of the child is a celebration that is celebrated internationally but in each country it is a different day. In the so-called International Union for the Protection of Children in 1952, it was suggested that there should be a day of celebration dedicated to children and a year later many countries joined this celebration. The UN shortly after, in 1954, decided that in all the countries of the world this day would have to be celebrated to honor and emphasize the needs of children all over the world.   • CHILE AND PUERTO RICO: the second Sunday of August
  • COLOMBIA: last Saturday of April

  • MEXICO: April 30
  • PARAGUAY: August 16
  • PERU: second Sunday of April
  • DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: September 29
  • VENEZUELA: third Sunday of July

The day of the child in Spain is celebrated on April 15 in all populations except Madrid, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of May.
