How to do a hypnosis at home

Hypnosis is a technique through which a person is induced to a dream state. It is a transient state that can be caused by oneself or another person. According to the American Psychological Association, APA (1996), hypnosis is a procedure during which changes in sensations, thoughts, feelings and behavior are suggested. It could be said that hypnosis would achieve those changes that are difficult to perform in a waking state. Not all people have the same degree of ease to enter a hypnotic state, so in some cases it may take more time to achieve it. Here we will explain the steps to follow to perform a hypnosis at home.

Steps to follow:

one

Try to relax. The first step to follow to achieve the hypnotic state, is that your body and mind are relaxed, calm. Only in this way can you concentrate on the procedure. It is recommended that you lie down or lie down in a comfortable place.

two

If you are doing hypnosis to someone else, you should use a calm, clear and high tone of voice. You must tell the person to relax, to let go, to begin by relaxing the feet. If it is self-hypnosis, concentrate and think about relaxing your feet.

3

After a few seconds, tell him to relax his ankles. Wait a few more seconds and tell him to relax the calves, after a few seconds the knees, buttocks, continue like this until you reach the head. It is important that there are some seconds between one part of the body and another. This exercise must be repeated twice.

4

Count slowly from 10 to 1 to achieve greater relaxation as the numbers go down. When you reach number 1, you tell him that his body feels heavy, relaxed.

5

From this moment, you can use the suggestion for your benefit. You can use phrases like: "You feel very good", "You are successful in your work" "You are not afraid to face difficult situations". In the case of a person suffering from some type of illness, you can say "Feel like you are healthy now", "The pain is completely gone".

6

Finally, ask him to take a deep breath once and exhale, have him repeat it three times. Then you inform him that you will count until 10 and that when you reach number 10, he will be awake. Start counting slowly. When you reach number 5, tell him that his body begins to wake up and that he will feel like new. When you reach number 10, you will ask him to open his eyes.
