How to use the Mozilla download wizard
The developers of Mozilla Firefox have created numerous add-ons to help download videos and audio from websites. With more than 87 million downloads, Download Helper reigns as one of the most popular download tools for this browser. Download Helper allows users to download images and videos from various websites, such as YouTube and DailyMotion. This add-on also allows users to convert video files to other video formats, such as converting an FLV file into an MP4.

Download and install the Download Tool add-on for Mozilla Firefox. The download can be found on the Download Helper website or as a supplement on the Mozilla website. Once the add-on has been downloaded, follow the on-screen instructions to install the add-on. Restart the browser to activate the add-on.

Configure Download Helper to your preferences. Find the configuration preferences Download Helper, click on the icon and select the option "Preferences" in the context menu. Change things like appearance, behavior, conversion, and location to save. Also, you can decide which file format you will use for saved videos.

Search resources that can be downloaded by Download Helper. The add-on installs an icon to the Firefox toolbar that informs users of the media that can be downloaded on certain pages. By default, this icon consists of three gray circles. When it is inactive, the icon is still in the taskbar. If something can be downloaded from a page, the icon is animated and the circles are colored, one yellow, one red and one blue.

Choose the means of communication to download. If the icon rotates, click on the arrow next to the icon to choose what you want to download. This new drop-down menu shows all the elements of the page that can be downloaded from Download Helper. Users can also see these items, by clicking on the page to load a contextual menu, then move to the "download helper" and choosing the appropriate file. Once you click on the file to download, the download will start.

Convert the video download in the preferred format. By default, Download Helper saves videos in FLV format, which may not work well if you want to save the video to an MP4 player or burn to a disc. After the video is downloaded, open the "Preferences" window of Download Helper and select the "conversion" option from the menu. To convert videos, you must download the conversion assistant from this menu. After the download and installation of the conversion assistant, configure the conversion preferences and convert the video.
Tips- Videos downloaded with Download Helper are intended to be used for personal use. Upload videos downloaded to other websites or the sale of videos violates the terms of use of Download Helper.
