How to record a Mac operating system on a DVD

Mac OS X includes two methods of recording CDs and DVDs. You can create data CDs and DVDs with copies of your files directly in the Finder. The Disk Utility is the Mac OS X disk management program. It is able to create CDs, DVDs and disk images, and save native OS X images and standard ISO files. The Disk Utility can also mount ISO and disk image files in the Finder.

Steps to follow:

one

Open a new window of the Finder. Click on "Utilities" in the "Go" menu. Double-click on "Disk Utility" to open the program.

two

Click on the "Record" button in the upper left corner of the window, or click "Record" on "Images." Navigate to the ISO file that you want to burn in the window that appears.

3
