How to play Tutifruti

Still do not know how to play Tutifruti? It is a fun family game in which players are challenged and their quick writing ability - without spelling mistakes - and word knowledge is tested. It is a fun, educational and very easy to do yourself game because you will only need a blank paper and a pencil. Below we tell you how to play Tutifruti indicating the guidelines and instructions that will help you play this fun game well.

Steps to follow:

one

The only thing that is needed to play Tutifruti is a blank paper and a pencil for each player. Each one will have to create their own spreadsheet formed by columns. Each column has a title, which indicates the type of word you should write there. And the last column should be called "Total", which is where the points scored by the player in each round are recorded.

A possible return can be this:

  • Names: Names are written only, not surnames.
  • Things: Things are written, but that thing should not have its own column.
  • Animals: Here are names of any type of animal.
  • PasiPus: Names of towns, cities, countries. Players can also agree to include - or not - lakes, rivers, seas, and areas, such as: "Patagonia."
  • FruVer: Fruits and vegetables.
  • Trademarks: Trademarks of any kind are written.
  • Total: The total points that the player added in the round.

The topics on which the words will be written may change. For example, boys usually add a column for "Soccer Teams". Other popular options are "Arboles y Flores" and "Programas de televisión".

two

To start playing the game of Tutifruti you have to follow these guidelines:

  • The players are placed in a round, each with their paper and pencil.
  • One of the players begins to traverse the alphabet letter by letter and in order, but only says aloud the letter "A" to start the tour.
  • The player on his left should shout "Enough" at any time. That's when the player who was "thinking" the alphabet brakes on the lyrics, and says it out loud.
  • That letter is the one that will be used in the round.
  • From this moment, all players should start filling the columns with words that begin with that letter.

3

Start playing Tutifruti :

  • You can write the words in the order you want. For example, you can write a "Brand" and leave the "Name" for the latter.
  • You can not repeat words between columns.
  • You can not look at the form of another player to copy.
  • You can write in italics or press (like the one you're reading now).
  • The words must be complete and without spelling mistakes.
  • The first player who finishes writing all the words in the round shouts: "Enough for me, enough for everyone!".
  • And the sum of points begins.

4

Add the points:

When a round ends , the words of all the players are checked starting from the column on the left.

A word can have 4 different scores :

  • 15 points: If nobody at the table has a valid word in that column. (You were the only one who wrote the word well in that column).
  • 10 points: If the word is unique at the table. (Others wrote something different).
  • 5 points: A repeated word. (Someone wrote the same in that column).
  • 0 points: Nothing was written, the word has spelling mistakes, or it was not in that column.

If there is a disagreement or doubts, the words are discussed between the players and they decide if they give the points or not.

The score of each word is written on it. Then each player adds the points of the round and writes the number in the "Total" column.

5

New round:

  • The player who had said the alphabet before, passes the hand to the person on his right. This player will now speak the alphabet in a low voice.
  • Again, the player on the left should say "Enough!".

Note: If the player who is "thinking" the alphabet reaches the end (to Z), it starts again from the letter "A".

6

End of the game:

  • The game can end when there are no more letters left, or when one of the players (the winner) reaches a certain number of points agreed before starting the game.
  • At the end, each player adds the points he has in the total column. The one with the most points wins the Tutifruti.
