How to make a feather-boom buoy for fishing

Always stick the ends of the buoy up to plug them and make them tense in the water. Let the glue dry before painting. Look at the following article on how to make a feather-boom aboya.

You will need to:
  • 2 large chicken, turkey or duck feathers
  • Waterproof glue
  • Sandpaper
  • Thin wire and thread
  • Waterproof paint
  • Rubber ring for buoys
Steps to follow:

one

The thickest part of the feather, completely scratch it to the height of 12 cm (a). Cut it off. This is the canyon. Cut the thinnest part until it is as thin as a match. Glue the two sides (b).

two

Then rub the barrel with sandpaper. Make a wire ring on the thinner side (a). Wind enough thread around the ends of the wire and cover it with glue (b). This is called a shuttle.
