How to find an ISO image file on a PC

An ISO file is a collection of compressed data in a single subject, usually extracted from optical discs and kept as a backup on your computer. Taking into account the great capacity of space that the hard disks of the equipment have, finding a particular ISO file can be quite difficult, especially when valuable information is lacking. Microsoft Windows offers intuitive methods to search for any file you want, even if you are not familiar with the basic details related to the subject.

Steps to follow:

one

Click on the "Start" menu, and click on the "Search" function.

two

Enter the name of the ISO image . If you do not have this information, write "* .ISO" without the quotes. This search option searches for any available ISO file stored on your computer.

3

Press the "Enter" key to start the search query. Let the operating system show all available results.

4

Click on the ISO image file you want, in the available results. Select "Open file location" to open the actual directory where the file resides.

Tips
  • If you can not find the ISO file, ask a relative or friend who understands more than your computer, to help you.
