How to remove hidden Zip files from my computer

A hidden zip file is simply a compressed zip file, which has "hidden" attributes. This means that they are hidden from view, unless you specifically configure your Windows 7 operating system to view hidden files and folders. Some anti-virus programs use hidden zip files to save the viruses they find. The idea is that you may not want to delete the file, but the anti-virus program makes sure that you do not accidentally open it and infect your system. In any case, you can delete a hidden zip file, like any other file, after enabling the visualization of it.

Hold the "Windows" key and press "E" to open Windows Explorer.

Click on "Tools" in the top menu bar, and select "Folder Options." If you can not see the top menu bar, press the "Alt" key.

Click on the "View" tab in the "Folder options" window.

Check "Show all hidden files, folders and drives" in the "Hidden files and folders" frame in the "Advanced settings" group, and click "OK". Now you can see the hidden files.

Navigate to the hidden zip file in Windows Explorer, and click to select it. The icon will fade, but it will be visible.

Hold the "Select" key and press "Delete" to delete the file, without going through the Recycle Bin. Simply press the "Delete" button to send it to the Recycle Bin. Click on "Yes" in the confirmation window.
