How to convert iTunes to MP3 on a Mac

Converting tracks from iTunes to MP3 on a Mac is a simple process, since iTunes supports conversions to and from various formats such as MP3, AIFF, WAV, AAC and Apple Lossless. When installing iTunes, the program automatically creates an index located in "/ Users / user / Music / iTunes / iTunes Library" on the Mac's hard drive, so you can convert your music to MP3 and retain both versions. Note any music purchased in iTunes is protected by copyright and can not be converted.

Steps to follow:

one

Open iTunes.

two

Click on "iTunes" and select "Preferences." For a direct access to "Preferences", press and hold the "Apple" key and press the comma key.

3

Click on the "General" tab in the "Preferences" window. Click on the "Import settings" button on the right side of the menu.

4

Click on the "Import using" drop-down box in the pop-up window and select "MP3 Encoder." Do "OK" twice to save the changes and return to iTunes Press.

5

Highlight the song you want to convert to MP3 . Click on the "Advanced" tab at the top of the screen and select "Create MP3 version." Your MP3 appears in the iTunes library, already converted.

Tips
  • You may experience some loss in audio quality if you convert from other high-quality formats due to MP3 compression standards.
