Use a pendrive as a hard drive on the XBOX 360

The XBOX 360 is Microsoft's flagship console. The different features that it presents make it one of the most versatile devices of the moment. About a year ago, Microsoft released an update that allows you to connect a pendrive as if it were a hard drive . This feature is very important, as it can facilitate the process of saving games as well as allowing the installation of games on the same pendrive in models that do not come with your hard drive, such as the Arcade for example.

You will need to:
  • XBOX 360 console
  • Pendrive
Steps to follow:

one

To use a pendrive as a hard drive on the XBOX 360, you must first connect your pendrive to one of the USB ports on your XBOX 360 console.

two

In the console menu, go to the configuration part and then to the memory part. At that moment your USB device will be recognized.

3

Access to it and a message will appear advising you that the XBOX 360 will check if your pendrive complies with the requirements. Then it will ask you if you want to use all the memory of the device or only a part.

4

When choosing the option that you think is convenient, the pendrive configuration process begins. At the end of this process you will have it ready to use as a hard drive.

Tips
  • The minimum size that allows using the XBOX 360 for this purpose is 1BG, while the maximum size is 16BG. If you have a pendrive with larger size, it will only recognize up to that memory.
  • Do not use devices to listen to music such as iPod or similar, since this process could damage them irreparably.
