How to play cannon

This game is a variant of pinball. The goal is to put the balls in the highest scoring goals. The more you stretch the pencil that is in the barrel, the faster the balls will come out and with greater force. To put them in the arcs or goals that are near the barrel, smooth strip of the pencil. It's very fun, you'll see, try it! and also, once you have created the box, you can play as many times as you want. Look at the following article, how to play cannon fire.

You will need to:
  • A strong cardboard box 34 cm wide and 46 cm long
  • Cardboard or thin cardboard
  • A cardboard tube of 14 cm long and 6 balls
  • 4 bands of elastic rubber
  • Adhesion and strong glue
  • Pencil, ruler and scissors.
Steps to follow:

one

First of all, cut a flap about 6 cm wide, in one corner of the box. Cut a strip of cardboard, which measures half the length of the box and a little higher. Make equal cuts on one side and stick the strip to the box.

two

Then cut a strip of cardboard, which measures one and a half times as wide as the box and the same height. Make cuts at both ends. Fold the strip in a semicircle and glue it to the sides of the box.

3

To make bows or goals, cut 13 pieces of cardboard 8 cm long by 3 wide. Make cuts on one edge of each of the pieces. Fold them in a semicircular shape and stick them to the box.

4

Then cut eight strips of cardboard of 4 cm x 3 cm. Make cuts along the edge of each strip, as in drawing (a). Roll them in the form of small poles and glue them (b). Now stick the posts to the box, which will serve to mislead and deflect the ball and thus make the game more difficult. Draw or paint the maximum and minimum numbers, within each arc.

5

Then cut a piece of cardboard one and a half times wider than the width of the box and about 6 cm high. Make cuts along the edge. Fold the cardboard through the lines and glue it to the back of the box.

6

To make the cannon: on the cardboard, draw two circles using a cardboard tube as a guide. Cut them ½ cm smaller than the circle. Glue them together and make a hole in the center.

7

Then put the end of a pencil through the hole in the cardboard circle. Stick the circle to the pencil firmly with adhesive tape, as you see in the drawing.

8

Then tie four rubber bands together (a). Drill a hole on both sides of the tube 3 cm from one end (b).

9

Pass the rubbers through the holes in the cardboard tube. Tie the two ends gently (a) and put the cardboard circle with the pencil, on top of the tube. First a rubber band passes over the circle and then the other one passes. Observe the drawing. Now untie the knots (b).

10

Finally, drill a hole approximately halfway through the two pieces of cardboard, about 2 cm away from the flap. Put the ends of the rubber through the holes. Make a double knot on each side.

How to play: get the balls out of the barrel and try to put them in the goals or arcs that have the highest numbers. Each player can shoot six balls when his turn comes. At the end of each play, add the highest scores and subtract the minimum. The first player who has 100 points wins. To shoot, place one ball in the cannon at a time. Pull the pencil and release it at once.
