How to slow down a video in iMovie

In slow motion everything is better. The effort becomes superhuman, the joy seems to multiply, everything seems more important. Take any video that you have out there and that is not worth much and make it go more slowly. Improvement, right? Of course to do this you need to know how to edit a video so that it ends in slow motion, but we have good news: it is not something difficult to do, exclusive of film directors and video artists. In .com we explain how to slow down a video in iMovie.

Steps to follow:

one

First, select the clip (or set of clips) you are working with by clicking on it in the project inspector (the top left window).

two

What you put in yellow is what you have selected. Adjust it until it is the clips or the part of a clip that you want to slow down and double click on the selection. A new window will open, the Inspector.

3

In the first tab, the "Clip" tab, see what it says in Speed, which will slow down the video with iMovie. If it tells you that you must convert the video before you can edit its speed, press that button. The conversion will start.

4

When finished (or if you have not had to do this step), in Speed you will see a bar where you can change the speed of the clip. By moving the cursor to the left you can slow down the video.

5

Press to exit. You will see that the video now occupies much more time in the Project Inspector. If you play it, you will see that it is already in slow motion. Congratulations!
