How to remove Windows from your computer

Boot Camp is an application developed by Apple that allows you to install and run the operating system of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Linux on your Mac. Included in the Leopard version, this technology has a support of 32 and 64 bits. You will need to:
  • Computer with Mac OS X 10.5 or later installed.
Steps to follow:

Close all applications that you have open in Mac OS X.

Go to 'Applications', click on 'Utilities' and finally choose the Boot Camp Assistant .

Select 'Create or delete a partition for Windows' and click on 'Continue'.

If the computer has a single internal disk, click on 'Restore' and you will have completely removed Windows from your computer .

If the computer has several internal disks, choose the one with Windows and then press 'Restore to a single partition with Mac OS' to finally select 'Continue'.

  • Make a backup copy of everything you want to consevar then, we will remove Windows, but also the rest of the information contained in the partition that contains this operating system.
