To remove a Mac user, first you have to click on "System preferences" and then "Users and groups".

Now, before making any changes you must click on the padlock icon in the lower left part of the window. This will allow you to provide administrator permissions to perform the task of removing a Mac user.

In the left sidebar, mark with the mouse the user you want to delete and then click on the "-" sign in the same bar, below everything.

It will appear, then, a popup window in which you will have to indicate which mode of deletion of the Mac user you prefer:

  • Save the startup folder to a disk image.
  • Do not change the startup folder.
  • Delete the home folder.

If you do not plan to register that user, it is best to opt for the last option.
