How to defragment a laptop
When a large amount of files have been erased, copied or moved from the hard drive of a laptop, the hard disk will slow down. The disk defragmenter tool on the computer will clean the hard drive so that files are sorted better, ultimately accelerating the hard drive as a result. Depending on the hard drive, running the Disk Defragmenter may take up to an hour to complete.
Steps to follow:one
Click on the "Start" button. Write the words " Disk Defragmenter " in the search box. Click on "Disk Defragmenter" in the results.

Click to select the laptop's hard drive. Click on "Defragment disk."

Click "Close" when a box indicates that the defragmentation has been completed.
