How to create a removable boot drive using UniBeast

If you are installing Mac OS X Lion using the UniBeast USB stick, you should know that this part of the process is quite simple; however, you need to follow the following steps one by one. That is, surely at some point you need to have patience and return to perform some other action. The installation lasts about 10-15 minutes, depending on the system and the speed of the unit. During this time, try not to disconnect or stop the process. Let us begin!

You will need to:
  • A Mac computer.
  • One USB of 8 GB or greater.
  • Installation application for Mac OS X Lion or USB OS X Lion.
Steps to follow:

Insert the UniBeast removable memory unit.

Go to / Applications / Utilities / Disk Utility.

Select the removable memory unit in the column on the left and click on the 'Partition' tab.

Select the current subdivision and choose 'One Partition'.

Click on 'Options ...' and choose Master Boot Record. Name it as 'USB Type A' (you can change it later) and, in format, choose 'Mac OS Plus' (with registration).

Click on 'Apply' in 'Partition'.

If you are using the Mac OS X Lion installation application, it must be in the Applications folder. If you are using the OS X Lion removable memory drive, make sure it is connected and mounted.

Download and run UniBeast .

Click on 'Continue' as many times as necessary and end by pressing 'Agreement'.

When selecting a destination, choose a removable memory unit and click on 'Continue'.

If you use the Mac App Store, choose the option 'Install Mac OS X Lion' from the application. If you use the Apple Store, choose the option 'OS X Lion Thumb Drive USB'. If, however, you are using a laptop, choose compatibility with laptops, in addition to one of the above options. Click on 'Continue'.
