How to change a Sim card

Sim cards are removable smart cards that are used in mobile phones and other devices. These cards have a small memory in which they securely store contacts, SMS, passwords, etc. They are located inside phones in an easily accessible place. In this article we will see how to change a Sim card.

You will need to:
  • Terminal of the same operator as the Sim or that is released
Steps to follow:

one

As we have said, inside our mobiles there is a small smart card whose utility is to identify our terminal in the network. A very common practice is to acquire a mobile phone through an operator that includes your Sim card inside. That makes that Sim cards are restricted to be used only in mobile phones of said operator. The Sim in most cases is equivalent to our phone number and just enter it in another terminal to keep it running. Today mobile phones have proliferated, making it easy to use our Sim card in any other terminal. Now we will see some practical tips when extracting our Sim.

First, I recommend having the terminal disconnected from the charger and turned off .

Then we take the phone between our hands. I do not know 100% of the phones that exist, but everyone I know has the Sim card in the back, under the battery. Our mobiles are usually 2 pieces, a front casing and a back casing, and there is always a spring, a small button or something that allows us to slide or open the back cover. I can assure you that a great majority of the back covers are removed by squeezing a bit in the center and sliding down, but in case of doubt I recommend looking in the instructions of our terminal.

Once removed the back cover we will see a piece that will almost certainly be rectangular. It's about the battery and to remove it just use the nail. It is important to determine the position in which it is placed and then put it exactly the same. Under the battery we will see a tiny piece with the name of the operator with which we have the telephone service. That's the Sim and the way to extract it is simple, but it changes according to the mobile model. In some cases it will suffice to slide it down and remove it. In other cases it will be subject and we will have to move some mechanism to release it.

Once the Sim is extracted, well we can insert another in its place or put that Sim in another terminal . Of course, when placing it, the part with chips must be placed in its place. Once we have placed the Sim and the battery, close the case, turn on the phone and check that everything works well.
