How to block emails in my Gmail email

One, two and even five emails that do not interest you in your email inbox every day; No matter how many times you have tried to unsubscribe from those lists, your appeals have not been heard and you continue to receive those e-mails, with the risk of downloading a virus on your computer. Instead of deleting them one by one on a daily basis, you can let the technology do the work for you with a simple filter : Gmail automatically forwards all emails you mark as "unwanted" to the trash. Steps to follow:

For Gmail to send messages from a specific sender to the trashcan automatically:

Click on the 'Settings' button (the nut symbol) and then on Settings . Once there, go to Filters: Create a filter .

Enter the email address you want to block in the "From (From)" field.

Likewise, you can block a complete domain by entering precisely the domain address. For example, to block the email from ' ' and ' ', you must type: "@ ejemplo.com" so that Gmail interprets that you must block all users of this domain.

To block more than one email address, separate them with a vertical bar: |

Following the example, if you want to block ' ' and ' ', you will have to write: " | ".

Next, click Create a filter with these search criteria to make effective the creation of the filter that will block those users in your Gmail account.

Make sure to select the "Delete" option in the list of actions that appears in step: "When a message is received that matches this search query". Click Create filter .

Also click on the box below to filter the conversations ("Also apply to the Xs that match these conversations criteria") and thus delete the previously received messages .

If you want to archive the messages on labels but without deleting them, in the previous step of this article, instead of clicking on "Delete", select: "Ignore Inbox (Archived)" and Apply the label, where you must select the label you want these emails to go to then review them.

To add new senders to your block list, you can add them to an existing elimination filter again with "|", or create a new filter.
