How to move from the crib to the bed

The passage from the cradle to the bed is usually done between a year and a half and 3 years of age. The reasons that drive this transition are the natural growth of the child: it no longer fits in the crib and safety: the child begins to climb the bars to escape from the crib and it stops being safe. Some children adapt easily to change while for other children, moving from cradle to bed can be traumatic. As a general rule, first-born and only children cost more than children who have older siblings that they wish to imitate.

Steps to follow:

one

You have to move from the cradle to the bed when the child has already left the diaper so you can get in and out of bed to go to the bathroom

two

Involve the child in the process: Go together to buy the bed and the new bedding.

3

If it is a bed inherited from an older child or his brother, take advantage of it and tell the child . Children love to imitate and follow in the footsteps of older children in their environment.

4

If this is the case, have the child participate in the removal of the crib and the assembly of the new bed.

5

Place the new bed in the same place where the crib was.

6

All the bears, stuffed animals and blankets with which the child slept should also move from the cradle to the bed
