How to convert MPG to MOV in Mac OS X

Digital Movies can be stored in a variety of formats on a computer, including MPG and MOV . MPG is a compression format that saves on an audio and video track on another track, while MOV is a compression format developed by Apple that stores video and audio on the same track. If you have a video in MPG format on your Mac with OS X, you may want to convert it into a MOV format video using Apple's free QuickTime video application software, which comes pre-installed on all Macs.

Steps to follow:

Click on the "QuickTime" icon in the Dock to launch QuickTime.

Click on "File" from the QuickTime menu, and then click "Open File."

Click on a folder that contains the MPG file that you want to convert, and then click on the MPG file to select it.
