How to add a contact to Whatsapp on a Windows Phone

First of all, make sure you have saved the number in your phone's address book, since that's where WhatsApp gets the list of contacts from. To do this, click on Contacts in the application list (you reach it by sliding your finger to the left on the home screen). Once there, look for the contact in question by clicking on the magnifying glass that appears at the bottom of the screen. If it's not ... save it!

Once you have verified that you have the contact saved, open WhatsApp by clicking on its icon in the list of applications.

Once in WhatsApp, slide your finger to the left on the screen to move to the " favorites " tab.

Click on the magnifying glass that appears at the bottom of your screen and look for the name of your contact. If it does not appear, chances are that WhatsApp has not yet updated the list because the contact carries very little on your phone.

Update the list manually: in Favorites, click on the three dots that appear in the lower right part of the screen. Among the new options that appear, click on "update". The new contact should be added to the favorites list.
