How to update Safari on an iPad

Insert the USB cable into the lower base of the iPad . Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB port on your computer.

Open the iTunes media player on your computer. The software may take a minute to recognize the iPad device.

Click on the "iPad" icon in the left column of iTunes and click on the "Summary" tab.

Click on "Check for updates" in the window. The software searches for the latest iPad iOS software and then asks if you want to install it. Click on the "Update" button to begin the installation.
