What basic medicines to take on a trip

When we travel, we should be well prepared to face any situation or unforeseen and a good kit can save us from major ills, especially if we travel to developing countries, with few resources or where buying a simple aspirin is very complicated. So do not hesitate: make your suitcase, take your clothes, your bag and above all, your medicines. In we tell you what medicines are the basics to take on a trip.

Paracetamol and ibuprofen. These two medications are basic and should be in our medicine cabinet. They will serve to alleviate possible headaches or muscular discomfort, however we invite you to consult:

If you have problems going to the bathroom when you travel, do not forget to include a laxative, in any case you should not abuse them.

An insect repellent is always welcome if we travel to tropical areas or with heat, where mosquitoes or other insects abound.

Bandages, tape and gauze, for possible chafing or injuries that you can make during the holidays. You can also put alcohol and hydrogen peroxide.

Serum. You can buy it in pharmacies and it comes in convenient doses prepared to be mixed with a liter of water. If you go to places where it is easy to get gastroenteritis, it will be a great help to recover and hydrate you.

Do not forget to include a medication against diarrhea, especially if you travel to a country where the water is not in good condition.

A thermometer to take your temperature in case you have a fever.
