  • A stick about 10 cm long
  • A sheet of thick paper
  • Thick cardboard and adhesive tape
  • Corrugated paperboard
  • Thin wire
  • A table knife
Steps to follow:

one

To make the reel motor stick the rubber band by the spool. Insert a match through one of the rings of the rubber band . Stick the match to it, with a piece of duct tape .

two

Then cut a piece 1 cm wide, from the end of a candle with a knife. Drill a hole in the cut piece of the candle, using a sheet of scissors.

3

Then put the other free end of the rubber band, through the hole you have made in the piece of the cut candle . Pass the stick inside the rubber band.

4

To make the lunar insect draw a circle on the thick paper (a), and cut it out. Fold the circle in half and then again in half (b). Unfold the paper and cut through a fold only to the center (c).

5

Roll the paper into a cone shape. Hold the edges with tape so they do not open. Make two cuts in the paper cone forming a kind of flap.

6

To make the antennas, roll a piece of wire around a pencil (a), and remove it later. Do the same with another piece of wire and glue them to the paper cone with tape (b). Turns the thread spool motor. Put the paper cone on top, making one end of the stick stick out from the bottom flap.

7

To make the climbing insect cut a spool of thread on a piece of cardboard and draw a line around it. Draw another circle.

8

Then cut the two circles a little larger than what the marks indicate. Cut some pieces around the contour to make some cogwheels .

9

Then paste a circle on each side of the spool . Let it dry before forming the lunar insect. It has to stay as in the image.

10

To finish, cut out a long strip of corrugated cardboard with a width of 5 cm. It forms a steep path by putting things under corrugated cardboard. Place the insect on top and make it climb.

eleven

Start the reel by turning the stick attached to the rubber many times. Put the spool on the ground. Place the cone on top and let one end of the stick protrude through the flap below.
