First of all, it is important that you learn to detect the signs of workplace harassment to check if your situation resembles any of them. In the event that you are experiencing any or all of them, it is certain that you are being a victim of mobbing and you must act as soon as possible.

  • Different treatment : when a person suffers this situation, he realizes that the treatment he receives from the partner in question is different from that which he professes to the rest of the workers. It may be that you exclude yourself or do not pay attention to you, both situations indicate that there is a problem with you and that you do not try to hide it.
  • Insults or verbal aggressions : it is also very common for people who harass, try to humiliate or disrespect, for that reason, you may be insulted or shouted before everyone leaving you in evidence and highlighting your superiority before you.
  • Speak badly about yourself : another obvious trait of a harasser is that he will try to leave you on the floor before other colleagues with the aim of isolating you and getting, even more, that you feel alone in the workplace. It may even be the case that you invent rumors that directly affect your image both work and personal.
  • Excessive pressure : it is also likely that you want to work harder to prove to yourself that you are not able to get the volume out there. It is a tactic of manipulation that you try to finish yourself by not being able to work in those conditions but, do not get overwhelmed, you are doing it precisely for that purpose so it is not your fault.
  • Limit your promotion : another sign of workplace harassment is that this person who is doing it is usually the one that prevents you from prospering in your job and, therefore, that you stay stuck in the same position.
  • Disqualifications : throwing down your work, throwing your anger in front of your colleagues or discussing an idea in a meeting in a high-handed manner are different ways of workplace harassment. Ridicule is also often a tool used by these people who want it is that you end up abandoning your work to feel unprepared to continue.
