How to disguise as a two-headed monster

The Halloween party is an ideal celebration to disguise monstrous and overwhelming characters, but also bizarre and funny things. I have an elaborate but very original proposal. Pass the typical vampire costume and surprise your friends by dressing up as a two-headed monster . Sure you manage to be the center of attention of the party! (Image from The Office)

You will need to:
  • a balloon
  • cartons
  • Scotch tape
  • diary paper
  • tail for paper mache
  • Brushes
  • acrylic paint or tempera
  • cloth
  • adhesive velcro 5 cm wide
Steps to follow:

one

If you have little dexterity you can take the head of a doll or buy a head in a costume store, although the spark is that you make a head that looks very much like yours.

two

We will make a paper mache head . To do this, inflate a balloon until it is the size of a head.

3

For the neck, fold a cardboard and place it around the balloon as a collar. Glue it to the balloon with ribbon.

4

Engage two other curved cards for what would be the beginning of the chest and back, as you see in the photograph.

5

Cut newspaper strips until you fill a large container.

6

Prepare a papier-mâché tail in a bowl . You see wetting the strips of paper in the tail and sticking them on the balloon, so that you cover it completely. You will find this queue in shops of fine arts and crafts.

7

Once covered the entire surface of the balloon and cardboard, make paper rolls and mark the volumes of the face : eyebrows, nose, eyes, chin, ears and hair.

8

Try to make the face resemble yours as much as possible, giving it your characteristic features: shape of the eyebrows, hair, drooping eyes, glasses, etc ...

9

Decide what your wardrobe will be to make your head fit . If you will wear a bow tie, attach a bow tie also to enhance the split print.

10

Once dry, the paper will take off from the balloon and acquire a stiff appearance. Now you can puncture the balloon and extract it below the neck.

eleven

Wait until it is completely dry to paint it. Use acrylic paint or tempera paints, medium-sized brushes and fine brushes for details.

12

Do not wet the brushes too much in water or dilute the paint or the cardboard base will soften and weaken.

13

To finish dressing your double, you can line the body part of your character with cloth, adding a tie, a bow tie, etc. Use your imagination.

14

Hold the head to your body . You will come up with different systems, although probably the most practical and simple is to hook your head to your clothes with adhesive velcro. It is a very resistant material and will allow you to get rid of the other head when you want it. Buy adhesive velcro about 4 or 5 cm. Wide. Another option is to hook it with a rubber bag, although you can fall.

fifteen

Finally, dress in your costume and put your head on. Surely you are scared!
