How to check if I have a good memory

Memory tests can help you determine if your memory is still good and you can track your progress through the exercises. There are several ways in which you can perform a memory test . You can do a memory test at home and record your results. This exercise will only take a few minutes.

Steps to follow:

one

Print 10 photo cards with simple images, such as a banana, a beach ball or a balloon. Create a copy for each of them making a total of 20 photo cards or 10 pairs. Use your computer to print the cards with photographs. You can find these images online, or you can take your own photos and upload them to your computer with a USB cable or by inserting your camera's memory card into your computer and uploading the photos.

two

Place the memory cards face up on a flat surface to show your images. Distribute them randomly in five rows, with four cards in each column.

3

Try to remember the image on the card each and your respective position of your partner. Do this for 30 seconds before turning the cards to face the table or the floor.

4

Join the cards by flipping them face up one by one. Make pairs. Turn over a letter and then try to flip your partner. Make a note of the number of times you turned a mismatched card and compare it to the number of times you flipped the correct card. If you make a mistake more often than you were right, you can use this test to improve your memory .

5

Repeat the test. To improve your memory, repeat this test several times, as many times as necessary for you to improve.

6

Another test is to take two-digit numbers at random and see how many you remember, a normal brain remembers between 6 and 10 numbers.

Tips
  • This test can be useful if you find yourself forgetting things like where I leave the car keys. However, if you forget things such as names of family members or directions to your home, consult your doctor, because this type of forgetting can mean more serious problems.
