How to set up Google Now

Google Now may seem a bit difficult to set up at first, especially when you're still not clear about what it is or how it works. Open Google Now by touching the search bar that appears at the top of the screen. If you are on a Nexus, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.

Start by configuring the privacy options. Click on " Privacy & Accounts " (privacy and accounts). Here you can choose if you want Google Now to follow you and take into account your location and your web history. The more freedom you give activating all the options, the better it will work.

It's up to you to decide which cards you want to see. Go back to " Settings " and, once there, go to " Google Now All Cards ". A list of all the cards that Google Now has available will appear. Activate the ones you are interested in seeing.

You can also configure when and why you want Google Now to send you notifications . In Settings> Notifications, select all the reasons why you would like to receive a notice. Especially dense traffic, the time you should leave taking into account the events of your agenda, reminders, etc.

Again in Settings, there is another option called " My Stuff ", very practical to tell Google Now things that interest you especially. You can enter the addresses of your home, work and other places that you usually go to, set up reminders, select sports and teams about which you want to be informed and even companies that are still on the stock market.

In Settings> Voice you can configure the language in which you are going to speak to Google Now and in what language you want to speak to you, block the offensive words, if you want that by saying "Google" the voice search is automatically launched, if you want activate voice recognition offline and if you want to record audio through a Bluetooth device.
