How to share the Internet of my Windows Phone

You go with your laptop to a place where you expected to have wifi and there is not (and you need it). Or, without knowing why, your home connection starts to fail. Or you're just in a conference where everyone is connected to the same network that has become saturated. And you need Internet for your laptop in a desperate way. What to do? Until not long ago, you could not do more than stand and wait, but the arrival of smartphones and the 3G connection has brought with it a very interesting novelty: make your mobile phone emit a Wi-Fi signal to connect to. Do you have a Windows Phone and do not know how to do it? In .com we explain how to share the Internet of your Windows Phone.

Steps to follow:

one

From the home screen of your Windows Phone smartphone, move your finger to the left to get to the list of applications. There, look for Configuration (with the icon of a wheel) and click on the button.

two

Under Settings, go to "Connection Sharing . " Once inside, switch the switch where it is now disabled to "On".

3

When activating the shared connection, several data will appear under the on / off switch and, below all, a button in which it says " Settings ". Click there

4

In the new screen, you will have to fill in different fields. In Broadcast Name, write how you want your network to be called (you can leave the default name as well). In Security Type, you can choose whether "Password is required" or "None". It is advisable to choose the first option.

5

If you have selected "Password is required", in the "Password" field you will have to type a password of your choice.

6

If you now go to your laptop and look for the available wireless networks, you will see that the network you just created with your Windows Phone is already displayed. You only have to select it, enter the password you have chosen (if you have chosen that), and connect. That easy!
