How to make a special cardboard rocket

A game that everyone likes especially for children is to launch a rocket. Make this rocket launcher and shoot the rocket in two phases, inside or outside the house. Remember, you must insert the knot of the rope into the slot in the rocket launcher, before loading it with the rocket. Look at the following article, how to make a special rocket.

• A long cardboard tube
• 2 short cardboard tubes
• 3 paper clips
• 2 bands of elastic rubber
• A piece of string of the length of the largest tube
• A piece of final fabric 20 cm wide by 20 cm long
• 4 pieces of thread 25 cm long each
• A small curtain ring
• Cardboard and cardboard, adhesive tape
• Glue, scissors and a pencil

Slide a small cardboard tube into the large one. If it is too big, cut it a little. Join the strips that you have cut and form another small tube, sticking them with tape (b).

Then cut a wide strip from the other small tube (a). Secure the edges with adhesive tape and insert into the first tube (b).

Cut out a small circle of cardboard . Cut it in half. Give each half the shape of a cone and hold the edges with tape (b). Glue a cone to the top of each tube ©.

To make a relief parachute, tie a piece of thread tightly to the four ends of the piece of cloth. Glue the ends of the four pieces of thread to the mouth of the small rocket as shown in the drawing. Make sure the threads do not get tangled.

Put the long tube on the cardboard and draw a circle around it guiding you through its base (a). cut out this circle, somewhat smaller than the line drawn and make two holes in it (b).

Cut two small triangles on the sides of the cardboard circle. Straighten a paper clip and insert the two ends through the holes in the circle. Do it like in the drawing.

Next knot two rubber bands (a). Place them on the circle above the triangles that you cut out (b). Attach them to it with adhesive tape and attach a clip to each end of the rubber.

Roll the ends of the clip over yourself and bend them back. Tie the string to the clip and tie a knot in the middle. Tie the curtain ring to the other end.

Drop the curtain ring inside the long tube . Tape the clips on both sides of the top of the tube, as you see in the drawing.

Make cuts or slits in the sides of the base of the tube (a). Pull the rope down until the knot is visible. Fit the knot in the slit and release the rope (b).

To load the rocket launcher put the small rocket into the big one. Fold the parachute and tuck it gently into the launcher. Then put the two rockets.
