How to make a homemade crane with hook attachment

Making the crane with a hook attachment is a bit difficult and it has to be handy but everyone can create it with a little patience. What you have to do is create the crane and lift a small cube or load. Use one handle to roll the hook and another to move it back and forth. See the following article on how to make a crane with a hook attachment.

You will need to:
  • A thin box of 40 cm long
  • 2 sticks of 60 cm long each
  • 2 short sticks and 2 pencils
  • 2 matchbox covers
  • A square cardboard box
  • 3 pieces of rope of 1.5 m long each
  • 2 large nails and a fork
  • 2 strips of thick cardboard and plasticine
  • A plastic container and a tall glass jar
  • Scissors, glue and tape.
Steps to follow:

one

First cut out one end. Glue the open side of the box with tape. Put a plastic container inside by inserting it through the bottom of it. Secure it securely with tape.

two

Then make a round hole in the square box . Put the glass jar inside. Adjust the plastic container on top of the jar. This is the base of the crane and it must turn from side to side with ease.

3

Slide the lid of a matchbox on two long sticks. Drill holes in the sides of the thin box and insert the long sticks through them. Do the same for the other end.

4

Then attach a match box lid to the thin box with adhesive. Put lots of plasticine inside . Punch holes in the top of the box and insert a short stick.

5

Glue the short stick through the ends of the two long sticks. Make sure the lid of the match box slides easily through the poles.

6

Make a big hole in the center, through the sliding lid of the matchbox . Make a hole on each side and tie one end of the rope on each side of the lid with the holes.

7

Then put a pencil through the thin box approximately in half. Slide the matchbox lid to the end of the clubs. Wind a rope around the short stick and hold the loose end to the pencil with tape.

8

Roll the pencil to slide the lid of the matchbox. Wind the second string at the ends of the stick through the match box lid and over the shorter stick. With tape hold the end of the string to the pencil.

9

Next, cut a door in the thin, tall box below the pencil . Put another pencil through the box from side to side. Look at the drawing.

10

Make a hole in the top of the thin box . Tuck in the end of a third rope . Attach it with adhesive tape to the second pencil . Pass the other end, through the hole in the sliding lid of the matchbox.

eleven

Then fold the fork in the form of a hook at one end and a ring on the other. Tie the end of the third rope to the ring. Stick a lot of plasticine to the ring and the knot.

12

Finally, make a hole in one end of each cardboard strip. Insert the strips to the ends of each pencil and stick them there. Put a nail through the other ends of the two strips.
