How to pack for a 14-day cruise

Packing for the holidays is usually the least favorite part of the trip for most people. Nobody wants to fill their bags and pay excess baggage charges, but they also do not want their luggage missing essential items during the trip. When you go on a cruise for 14 days, you need to pack with great care since the shopping options may be limited. Consider the weather and activities at the ports of your destination: packing for a 14-day Alaska cruise is very different than luggage for a 14-day Caribbean cruise .

Check the time before starting to pack. What you pack depends on the weather, the time of year, your trip and your destination.

Include appropriate clothing for two weeks. If the weather is warm, you should wear casual clothes, resort clothes, dinner, bathing suits, beachwear, swimming pool clothes and to descend at the programmed ports. Women should include Capri pants, khaki pants, dresses with band-aids, polo shirts, shorts, swimsuits, and swimsuit cover-ups. Include formal clothes in your luggage. All cruise lines have formal nights, check with your cruise line to see how many gala nights are on a 14-night trip. For example, on Royal Caribbean cruises, if you hire two weeks of cruise, you will have three gala nights. Men can wear suits or tuxedos with ties and jackets.

Put shoes and comfortable clothes in the suitcase to go for a walk, to go to the gym on board, a beach bag and reading material.
