How to make the game of the hoop

This game is very easy to create and very fun when playing, although at least there must be two players. The more you are better. It is a board that serves as a target, the further you get away from it, the harder it will be to put the hoops through the pegs. • A lid of a cardboard box about 28 cm wide by 40 cm long
• Colored paper or paintings
• 5 cardboard tubes of the aluminum foil used in the kitchen, or thick cardboard
• Thick cardboard
• Strong glue and rope
• Scissors

To make the board, cover the lid of the box with colored paper or paint it in the color you like the most. Let it dry. With the cardboard tubes, make five pins like the ones in the drawing. The longest should have one 12 cm long and the shortest about 8 cm.

If you do not have cardboard tubes for the pins, you can make them yourself using cardboard. Cut 5 pieces of cardboard 12 cm wide each and 12 long (a). Roll the pieces one by one with your finger, to form a tube (b), and glue it with glue or tape to join the edges (c). Cut them so that they are of different length.

Then cut the end of each tube in the form of angles, as indicated in the drawing. This is done so that they are tilted upwards, when you stick them to the cardboard lid.

Then stick the pegs by tilting them up, on the outside of the cardboard lid. Place the shortest one in the center and the others near the four corners, as you see in the drawing.

When the pins are attached to the lid, paint them in different colors and let them dry as they appear in the image.

Next, place the lid on its side and make a hole about 3 cm from the top. Do the same for the other side. Pass a rope through the two holes and tie it.

Cut out five squares of white paper and glue them under each of the pegs. Now draw or paint the corresponding numbers, as you see in the drawing.

On the thick cardboard sheet, draw ten circles. Use as a guide the lid of a Nescafé container, for example. Make sure the circles are at least twice as wide as the pegs.

Using a cap somewhat smaller than the previous one, draw another circle inside the first one. Look at the drawing. First cut out the circles on the outside and then on the inside.

To finish, stick two cardboard circles together to form a sturdy hoop. Do this with all the circles so that you have five left. Paint each of them the same color as each peg.

How to play: hang the board on a door and point to a line on the floor about two meters away from the board. Stand behind that line and try to hook the hoops on the pegs. Pull the five colored rings in turns; If you cross the line when shooting, you lose your turn. When a hoop falls into a peg, write down the number of points it marks. If you hit the same pin twice, you must score twice. The first to get 50 points wins.
