How to connect an iPod Touch to your computer

IPod touch is a device similar to the iPhone, except that it has no 3G network connection or the possibility of making calls. Your iPod touch has most of the features of the iPhone, including the ability to access the iTunes App Store and connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi. The process of connecting your iPod touch to your computer physically includes the connection to the computer and synchronizing with the iTunes software.

Steps to follow:

Go to the Apple website and download the latest version of iTunes . Create an account when user.

Connect the USD cable of the iPod touch to the USB port of your computer.

Connect your iPod touch to the USB cable. The port is at the bottom of the device. The computer will recognize that the device is connected.

Open iTunes on your personal computer. ITunes recognizes your iPod touch and displays its name in the "Devices" section of the header in the left navigation pane of the iTunes screen.

Modify the name that will appear to be the serial name of the iPod touch by a more familiar name like "iPod Manuel" or "Manolito".
