How to register for the Imserso

Imserso is the acronym of the Institute of Seniors and Social Services of the Spanish Government, organism of which highlights its Social Tourism Program for Seniors, which aims to facilitate the incorporation of this group to tourism flows. In this way, retirees can travel in groups at affordable prices for a large part of the year. Steps to follow:

Before enrolling in the Imserso, you must be sure that you meet any of the requirements necessary to access the program :

  • Be at least 65 years old.
  • Retirement pensioners of the Public Pension System.
  • Pensioners of widowhood of the Public Pension System, whose age is equal to or greater than 55 years.
  • Other pensioners of the Public Pension System and early retirees, in both cases with 60 years of age.

Once you fulfill any of the above requirements, you will need to submit an application to access the Social Tourism Program.

On the other hand, you can also request access to the tourism program for seniors through the Electronic Headquarters of Imserso. Whenever possible, it is recommended to make the request through the Internet to expedite the process and be accredited almost immediately

It should be noted that there are specific dates on an annual basis to submit applications for Imserso trips, they should be consulted on the Imserso website. Out of the period, the requests sent will be as substitutes to cover possible vacancies.

Once all the requests have been processed, the Imserso will accredit as many users as available places and will proceed, if necessary, to apply the corresponding scale, related to age, income and previous trips.
