How to make a water turbine
Make this turbine and attach it under a tap. It will spin around and around while the water gushes out. If you hold the rope between your fingers, so that it can also rotate, the turbine will continue to spin while it still has water. You will need to:- Scissors
- An empty water bottle
- Pencil
- Rope of 15 cm long
- Thin rope of 30 cm

First of all introduce a tip of the scissors inside the bottle, near the top, as in the drawing, and cut it around.

Then make eight holes near the bottom of the bottle with the scissors. Leave an equal space between one hole and another. Drill two holes in the top of the bottle, one on each side.

Then push the tip of a pencil into one of the holes at the bottom of the bottle and press it until it touches the side of the bottle. Do the same in each hole to skew them.

Finally, connect the ends of the short rope to the holes in the upper part of the bottle. Draw the long rope in the center of the shorter one. Tie a pencil to the other end, as in the drawing.

Why it happens. When the water spouts through the holes obliquely, the pressure pushes the bottle by turning it in the opposite direction.
- Be careful not to wet the whole house when you open the tap and between the water in the turbine, look to do it somewhere outside or inside the sink.
