How to grow crystals

This experiment will surprise you because you can create crystals by removing salt, sugar or soda in very hot water. Let them grow in a warm place and you will see how every day there are a few more and in the end there are so many that come together forming a mass. You will need to:
  • A clean glass jar
  • A piece of long thread
  • A clip
  • Sosa (you can find it in your kitchen or you can buy it at the pharmacy)
  • Very hot water
  • Pencil
Steps to follow:

Put a spoon inside the jar to prevent the hot water from breaking it, pour water slowly until filling the jar.

Then pour several teaspoons of soda into the water and stir until it dissolves. It becomes more bland and stir again.

Place the jar in a bowl of very hot water to hold the water. Continue pouring soda and stirring until it no longer dissolves.

To finish tie a clip on the end of a piece of thread and tie the other end of the thread around the pencil . Put the clip inside the jar. Wind the thread in the pencil until the clip hangs up as seen.
