How to format a DVD-R with Windows 7

Turn on the computer and press the small button to the right of the optical drive. Wait for the optical drive to open and place the DVD-R in the tray. Wait for the computer to load and recognize the DVD-R.

Double-click on " Burn files to disk " when loading on the screen. Enter a name for the disk when prompted in the menu. It is not mandatory to do this, but it will help you recognize what is on the disk when it is placed inside the computer.
