If you have recently requested a loan and you have been denied, you may have debts and still do not know it. Or if you plan to do it and you know that you have defaults but you do not know if you are part of the defaulter lists, keep reading this article and discover how to know if a person has debts .

Steps to follow:

one

In general, the lists of defaulters or debtors most used by companies and companies are ASNEF, EXPERIAN, CIRBE and RAI . When a customer leaves a debt due to non-payment, whatever the amount, the company or company to which he owes communicates with one of these organizations and incorporates the debtor client's data. Anyone can check whether or not they are on one of these lists through different channels and know if they have a debt, cancel it, rectify it or claim it.

two

National Association of Financial Credit Establishments (ASNEF)

To be able to consult if your data are included in the ASNEF list, you must go to the company in charge of managing your file, EQUIFAX IBERICA SL, or directly to them. To communicate with them, you can do it through the following ways:

  • By email, writing to the address or
  • Sending a letter to the Madrid offices, to the postal code C / Albasanz, nº16, Madrid 28037
  • On his website www.ederechos.equifax.es or www.asnef.com

You can also call the telephone numbers 902 300 414, 902 126 000 or 917 687 600 but in none they will provide you with the information you are looking for, they will only inform you on how to request them.

To request whether or not you are on your list, you must submit a series of documents : name and surname, ID / NIF / CIF, address, date of submission and signature. If you want to cancel a debt, you must provide all the necessary documentation proving that you have paid off the debt 100%.

3

Experian

To request if your information is in this company you must call the telephone number 91 625 89 11 or send a letter to the post office box 1188-28108 Alcobendas (Madrid). The letter must include the signature of the applicant and a photocopy of the DNI / NIF / CIF. In case of cancellation, the documentation proving the request will also be required.

In addition to these channels, there are companies such as IBERCHECK that are dedicated to providing complete reports with the data of both EXPERIAN and ASNEF and notify, thus, the person who requests them whether or not they have a debt.

4

Risk Information Center of the Bank of Spain (CIRBE)

To see if you are on the list of this company you can do it in two ways, in person going to the headquarters of the Bank of Spain or branches, or by writing to the Risk Information Center of the Bank of Spain (C / Alcalá, nº48, 28014 Madrid).

To request the information you must present a photocopy of the two sides of the DNI / NIF / CIF, fill out a form in case you do it in person and sign it, and indicate all the data related to your address so they can send you the answer (address, phone number ...)

You can also consult information by calling the telephone number 901 545 400.

5

Record of Unpaid Acceptances (RAI)

To request the RAI if you are or not on your list of defaulters you must do so through its website (www.ficherorai.com) by filling out a form. Think that the RAI is a file intended for legal entities, that is, companies and individuals that have been or are autonomous, so you will need to present the CIF (Tax Identification Code) to request information and obtain a response. The same happens if you want to cancel a debt.

6

In all cases, you can also go to your bank to see if you are in any of the lists of past due and know if you have a debt. However, this does not mean that your bank is accredited to give you such information, since the debt company can deny you permission. It is most likely that you request the information directly from the companies in charge of managing the debt lists or go to an external company such as Ibercheck to obtain a single report with the results of several lists.
