How to calculate your settlement

The settlement is the document that a worker receives at the end of the employment relationship with the company where he works and through which the wage differences between the worker and the company are settled. All workers are entitled to receive the part of salary corresponding to the days worked until the end of the contract month, the proportional part of the extra payments and a part of the vacations not spent. These three concepts are what we have to take into account to calculate the settlement . Here we explain in detail and step by step how you have to calculate your settlement .

You will need to:
  • A calculator
  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Your payroll
Steps to follow:

one

Obtain the day salary that will leave adding base salary, extra payments and bonuses for seniority or agreement and divide by 30 (days of the month).

two

Calculate what we would get for extra pay . If the worker has two, he should add the amount and divide it by 365 days a year.

3

Add the two values, daily salary plus daily salary for extra payments.

4

Multiply the number you gave us in point three by the number of days you touch per year worked.

5

The days by regulation are: unfair dismissal (45 days / year), unfair dismissal (33 days / year), objective dismissal (20 days / year). You can negotiate a specific number of days.

Tips
  • The formula to calculate the settlement would be: Settlement = daily salary x number of days for dismissal x years worked
  • If you have doubts or particular things, you better go to a manager.
