How to add ringtones to my Windows Phone 8

You've been annoying all those around you for about an hour. You have been reviewing one by one all the ringtones that your Windows Phone includes and you have not even been able to decide on any of them. They just do not convince you. Would you like to choose a song like you do on iPhones? Would you prefer to add a sound file that you have on your computer? It is possible and not very difficult. In .com we tell you how to add ringtones to your Windows Phone 8.

Steps to follow:

one

The first step is to make sure that the audio file you want to convert into a tone meets the necessary requirements: it should not be protected by DRM and should occupy less than 30 MB .

two

Tap to program it: where is the audio file? If it is already saved on your smartphone (you could have sent it by SMS, it may be part of the music you have saved, you have sent it via Bluetooth ...), you just have to go to it and keep it pressed for a few seconds. A menu with several options will open. Select " Save as tone ".

3

If, on the other hand, the file is still on your computer, you must pass it to the phone. You can use several methods: if you have the USB cable of the smartphone at hand, connect it to the computer. Access the phone from the PC (in My Computer, it will be like another disk drive), look for the Tones folder, and copy the audio file there.

4

Another option is to send the file via Bluetooth . To do this, make sure that both the smartphone and the computer have this connection activated. You can send the file from the computer or access the folders of the PC from your smartphone and pick it up.

5

After performing any of these steps, the audio file will appear in the Tones menu (in Settings> Tones and sound, click on Tones to see a list). You only have to click on the one you just added to use it as a tone.
