How to adjust the sharpness in the My Computer monitor

To get the best sharpness on your monitor depends on what type of monitor you have. CRT, LCD and laptop monitors behave differently and usually require different resolution settings. For example, wide screens are dimensionally more horizontal than CRT screens. Although laptops have wide screens, the parts are typically smaller than most LCD screens, which are wide screens designed to separately connect a hard-working drive system. Before trying any other method to adjust the sharpness of the MY PC monitor, set the recommended settings for the size of your monitor screen.

You will need to:
  • Windows 7
Steps to follow:

one

Click on the "Start" button, click on "Control Panel", and click on "Adjust screen resolution". Then click on "Appearance and personalization".

two

Click on "Resolution" in the drop-down list and click on the "resolution that is recommended" to select it. Click on "OK". If the sharpness on your computer screen is still not fixed, go to the next step.

3

Repeat steps 1 and 2, and then click on the "Resolution" in the drop-down list. If you have a CRT monitor, go to the next step, if yours is a wide-screen LCD monitor, go to step 5, if you have a laptop, go to step 6.

4

Select the CRT monitor that matches the size of the monitor connected to your computer. Select "1280 x 1024" if you have a CRT of 17 to 19 inches, select "1600 x 1200" if you have a CRT monitor 20 inches or larger. Click on "OK".

5

Select "1280 x 1024" if your wide-screen LCD monitor has a 19-inch ratio, select "1600 x 1200" if you have a standard 20-inch ratio. Select "1680 x 1050, " if it is a 20 to 22 inch wide screen. For a 24-inch or larger LCD screen, select "1920 x 1200." Click on "OK".

6

Select "1680 x 1050" if you have a 17-inch wide laptop screen, and then click "OK."
